Seminar Descriptions and Presenters

Terry Bolton

Terry Bolton of Paducah, Kentucky has been a professional fisherman since 1995.  A graduate of Murray State University, Terry’s favorite place to fish is Kentucky Lake.  He has finished in the top-ten in 48 FLW tournaments and has three tour wins, two on Kentucky Lake and the most recent in January 2019 on Sam Rayburn Reservoir.  Terry is an excellent speaker and 2020 marks his eleventh year in a row to present seminars at the show.  When not fishing, Terry enjoys duck hunting.

Terry will be presenting a seminar on:  Winning with the Elite.  Terry  will be happy to answer any questions you might have about bass fishing in general or more specific techniques.

Brandon Hunter

Brandon Hunter of Benton, Kentucky has competed at all levels of the FLW Tour and turned pro in 2014.  Brandon has one tournament win and finished second in the FLW event at Kentucky Lake in June of 2016.  He has 15 top ten finishes and 5 Cup appearances.  His favorite technique is deep cranking and is strength is deep structure fishing.   Brandon is married to Brittany and they have 2 children.  When not fishing, Brandon loves to hunt waterfowl and bow hunt

Brandon will be presenting a seminar on Bass Fishing:  Locating High Percentage Area where he will be discussing how to locate high percentage areas on Kentucky and Barkley Lakes.  And what to look for and how to adjust depending on weather conditions.

Adam Martin

Adam Martin is a Fisheries Biologist for the Western Fisheries District of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.

Adam will be presenting a seminar on What Happened to the Bass at KY Lake.  According to Adam: “There is no shortage of opinions about what is affecting the bass fishing at Ky Lake and Lake Barkley.  Too many tournaments, too many Asian carp, natural cycling, lack of grass, etc. all get brought up when anyone is discussing our lakes.  You probably know the answer isn’t simple, but you might be surprised to learn just how complex it really is.  This seminar will provide an exhaustive look into all of those factors and provide you with the most complete picture of the past, present, and future of bass fishing in Kentucky Lake and in lakes across the country.”

Doug Wynn

Doug Wynn will be presenting a seminar on  Changing Crappie Tactics / New Tricks.  He will be talking about the best methods to catch crappie, and will explore boat rigging, tackle, how to use electronics and where to find big crappie.

Doug Wynn has been fishing Kentucky and Barkley Lakes for over 50 years. He grew up in Marshall County. He was a snow goose and duck guide in Missouri for over 20 years. Matt Quinn

Jessica Morris is a Fisheries Biologist for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Jessica Morris

She will be presenting a seminar on Asian carp issues titled: Asian Carp Update:  What is KDFWR Doing?.  The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is actively engaged in the battle against invasive Asian carp species, particularly in Kentucky and Barkley lakes.  This seminar will provide an overview of current projects and future plans that KDFWR has for stopping the spread of Asian carp in Kentucky’s waterways.
